OK so which of the 3 (and counting) Starship Troopers movies do you like
best and why?

The 1997 movie *Starship Troopers*

The 2004 movie *Starship Troopers; Hero of the Federation*

The 208 movie *Starship Troopers; Marauder*

It is a great pity that Robert A. Heinlein (1907 - 1988) did not live to see
his original story make it into film.

I liked the third one best, but I'm still waiting for the Heinlein
story to make it into film.

Your forgot the CGI animated television series.
Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles

Not that there is any reason to not forget it.

Heinlein's original story still has not been made into a film, just a movie
with his story's title.

I vote 1, 3, 2.

1 was not a bad movie, but it was not Heinlein's SST.
At least the third movie had some kind of powersuit.

I know this is years late, and for that I apologize.

The 1997 movie was a travesty & I hated it so much I refused to see
any of the others. It's the only movie I've ever seen that left me so
angry I wanted to hurt those involved with the production.

The producer & director should have been in the center of the circular
firing squad scene, and it should have been shot with live ammunition
instead of using special effects.

It's a good thing Heinlein didn't live to see "Starship Troopers" made
considering his experiences with the attempts to turn "Stranger In A
Strange Land" into a film & UN-authorized adaptation of "The Puppet
Masters" that's even worse than what they did to Starship Troopers".
